On August 30, 2011, Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula’s al-Malahem Media released the third episode of its video series "And Martyrs to be Taken from Amongst You," featuring former Guantanamo Bay prisoner "Hani Shaalan" (a.k.a. Salman al-Sanaani), who was reportedly killed in an American air strike in southern Yemen. He had “fought against the Americans and their apostate agents during their advancement to Tora Bora Mountains”; after his release from Guantanamo Bay, “he took off again toward his brothers as a Mujahid for the cause of Allah.”
