Exclusive Video Interview: Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) Leader Hakimullah Mehsud

Flashpoint Global Partners has obtained an exclusive videotaped interview with Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) leader Hakimullah Mehsud. In the lengthy interview, Mehsud discusses a range of subjects to include:

• The December 2009 attack on the CIA base in Khost, Afghanistan that killed seven Americans
• Failed Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad
• The U.S. drone strike campaign
• The assassination of Benazir Bhutto and Pakistan's subsequent investigation
• The TTP's stance on negotiations with the Pakistani government

In July 2010, Flashpoint released a previously unpublished video excerpt of a meeting between Shahzad and Mehsud. In the video clip, the two were shown shaking hands and hugging.

Mehsud has been charged in U.S. federal court in connection with the Khost attack, and the U.S. State Department is offering a $5 million reward for tips leading to his location.
