Pakistani Taliban Claims Responsibility for Killing Reza Haider

On August 3, 2010, the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for killing the “rejectionist apostate Reza Haider—may Allah punish him as he deserves—along with three of his companions and his son, by shooting him in the town of Nazimabad in the city of Karachi." Haider was a senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader and a member of the Pakstani parliament; his assassination set off violence that left more than 45 dead in Karachi.
