On August 27, 2010, the Islamic Emirate of the Caucasus issued a communication rejecting assertions by Russian intelligence about the discovery of a database which provided valuable information on the mujahideen in Dagestan and purportedly led to the dead of the Emirate’s Supreme Judge Saifullah Gubdensky (a.k.a. Magomedali Vagabov). According to the statement, “The truth is that there isn’t a database in the first place and nothing concerning what they have mentioned” is valid.
