FemaleMujahidOn May 13, 2010, the "Taifatul Mansura" Turkish‐speaking foreign fighter contingent active on the Afghan‐Pakistani border released a Turkish‐language interview with and photographs of female mujahid “Umm Mohammed”, identified as “a female mujahid with the Islamic Jihad Union in Afghanistan”. Counseling women that they should “leave the worldly pleasures” and “join the Jihad”, “Umm Mohammed” notes that “we have many mujahideen who can’t even eat a hot meal or wash his clothes and misses his family. Don’t think about what you can do for jihad! Even washing the clothes of mujahideen, cooking for them and sewing their clothes brings dignity to mujahideen and contempt to infidels.” She asks, “how can you leave my brothers alone here who sacrificed their life, never sleep and eat and left their home only for the will of Allah? How can you be so indifferent in your home while Islam is being trampled, virtue is disregarded in Iraq, Palestine, Chechnya and in other Jihad lands… How can you ignore all this contempt?"
